Massive web bot hit..OROVILLE DAM

I didn't find a thread on this....its late, and im old....but the Oroville dam is in grave jeopardy, along with the Sacramento Valley.
As it stands now, Feb 17th, the numbers are crunching to the alarming side with a week of sometimes heavy rains lined up on the pineapple express, straight in over the dam.
Its estimated that the possibility of failure is high given the precipitation that's expected in the next seven days.....
Not only is the failing dam a web bot hit, but the term' rivers in the sky"
has been heard being uttered by the news reporters.
Alta reports of recent venue have specifically mentioned this term....
I have the gut wrenching inkling that this is merely the first in a series of predicted large weather, and other natural events which will dwarf our puny efforts by enormous measure....
The plus 13 foot difference that will spill over the dam top in the next days, plus the inner core of the dam itself must be waterlogged from the spillway damage,.......and the seemingly miniscule amount of emergency repairs in the last days are adding up to very dangerous and potentially catastrophic total that could easily BECOME A NATIONAL DISASTER

Almost 200,000 people have been forced to evacuate near California’s Oroville Dam, and now officials are worried that more rainfall could increase the threat level. NBC’s Miguel Almaguer reports for TODAY from Oroville.

Was Oroville dam built to fail? Is there a conspiracy to rid areas of water supply? Are failing dam's part of a new world order? No water - No Food? Ronald Regan government spending for profits and shady construction? Corruption for money? - "The Birth of Oroville Dam" - produced and directed by Mark S Lambert Building a dam and telling lies to get it done?

Because hundreds of smaller dams in Northern California have been allowed to fill, water runoff for the Sacramento Valley from Sierra Nevada-fed rivers is running at 130 percent of average for this time of year; versus rivers flowing into the San Joaquin Valley, which are running at 190 percent of average runoff.

Oroville crisis reveals a history of problems that once again who took the money and who gets it now?

Gold, Oil, Land they drive people insane!

1895 Feather River Diversion for Gold Mining

So much good history is underwater. Our 20th century dam building covered in water many interesting historic artifacts such as the remnants of a 19th century dam and diversion canal on the Feather River. A small paperback titled “Lost Beneath The Feather River” and a brief story published in Harper’s Weekly clued me into this historic diversion canal and mining project. United Kingdom invests to divert Feather River for gold. In 1892, with investment money from the United Kingdom, Frank McLaughlin began the process of diverting the Feather River in an effort to expose the river bed for gold mining. The plan was much like a typical irrigation canal diversion dam. Only instead of part of the river flow being diverted, this project diverted the entire mining season flow of the Feather River into the rock walled bypass canal. The diversion canal was two miles in length and paralleled the river. Today, all the remnants of the rock wall canal and dam are under the Thermalito lake downstream of Oroville dam. Harper's Weekly, 1895, illustration no. 1. Changing the course of the Feather River in order to mine for gold in the original bed. Harper’s Weekly, 1895, illustration no. 1. Changing the course of the Feather River in order to mine for gold in the original bed.

Constructing dam, flume, and rock wall bypass

The project had three parts: the dam, a short flume from the dam, and a canal on the north west side of the Feather River constructed out of locally mined boulders. In 1895 the Feather River was diverted into the bypass canal leaving the river bed virtually dry and ready for mining.
Unfortunately, the amount of gold recovered was far less than anticipated. Speculation about the paltry sum of gold recovered centered on the fact that early placer miners had already scooped up most the gold back in the 1850’s. Larger photos at end of post.

Dam destroyed, submerged underwater

The grand project to move the Feather River had cost approximately $12 million and taken:

Oroville Dam Built on Indian Burial Grounds

State of California Archaeology documents. While creating the Oroville dam spillway an ancient community was discovered. While using stone tools the occupants had 'European style houses'. The site could be one of the most important in north America for the artifacts. Some of the ancient houses had even more ancient remnants on them. Also: raining fish in Oroville.

Resources below to information in video above:

Ishi (c. 1861 – March 25, 1916) was the last known member of the Yahi, a group of the Yana of the U.S. state of California. Widely acclaimed in his time as the "last wild Indian" in America, Ishi lived most of his life completely outside modern culture. At 50 years of age, in 1911, he emerged near the present-day foothills of Lassen Peak, also known as Wa ganu p'a. Ishi means "man" in the Yana language. The anthropologist Alfred Kroeber gave this name to the man because in the Yahi culture, tradition demanded that he not speak his name or that of anyone who was dead. When asked his name, he said: "I have none, because there were no people to name me," meaning that no Yahi had ever spoken his name. He was taken in by anthropologists at the University of California, Berkeley, who both studied him and hired him as a research assistant. He lived most of his remaining five years in a university building in San Francisco.
