RE: The truth about Smart Meters
the first vid is an excellent summary. Maybe a bit paranoid, but spot on in my opinion.

Who knows what data new appliances will be sending, voice, video, facial recognition? This doesn't even address the real vulnerabilities of hacking. Going from hard-wire to wireless seems extraordinarily weak on several levels. Yes...I'm in the paranoid camp. I know full well this tech will be exploited to serve many interest across the spectrum including the State and it many agencies. Literly another power grab. RE: The truth about Smart Meters
Lucky me that where my smart meter is located its where my dog, and my chickens are so we never go over there with cars. In fact about the only thing they are going to watch is my rooster strutting his stuff from where its located.

Easy to say, hard to do for most once this private/state /global enterprise is enforced through the power of the state. Only a few states at this point have an opt-out policy, that policy, where offered, penalizes consumers with additional monthly fee's to stay on the old meter thus "incentivising" the switch. The other option is go off the grid completely, not a practical solution for the average consumer. JPMsecretagent, proud member of Realist News since Jun 2011. |
