Yes it's good for you, but garlic (like curry and other pungent spices) comes through your pores if you consume enough... it's not very pleasant.

On a serious note, I am not sure about the medicinal quality of the brew that was mentioned in the OP, but I am sure it will do wonders keeping folks away from you, sick or otherwise. Maybe that is the wisdom of this concoction? I prefer to keep 3 ft of personal space, always wash my hands & try not to touch my face while out in public (I only pick my nose in the privacy of my own home , with a tissue & I wash my hands before & after lol) If I do fall ill with any respiratory illness, I drink the hell out of elderberry juice & Pepper tea!!

Touch eve-ry-thing. Expose yourself and let your-self/body learn to fight naturally. It Is Ok to Be Exposed and Learn re-sis-tance. Hugs and reaching out and touching a heart are Ok as well.
