Another Nut case - Four dead, three police hurt in Pennsylvania shooting

"(Reuters) - Four people died on a Pennsylvania highway on Friday when a gunman shot dead three people and later was killed in a shootout with police, authorities said.
Three state troopers were injured in the incident in Frankstown Township, about 100 miles east of Pittsburgh.

Investigators suspect the shooter might have been driving when he opened fire, shooting people for unknown reasons, the Pittsburgh Tribune Review reported, citing an official with the Blair County Emergency Management Agency"

i believe the crazies have always been attacking random people. maybe there is an increase of this type of violence, but i have not looked up the statistics. I will, though. that said, on second look at fiat's statement that the media is pumping the issue, i somewhat agree. I think there are many many killings that never make news at all. On the flipside, i think the media is honing in on it at the moment. two possible reasons:
1. media teams aim to DRIVE popular interest. what I mean by that is that maybe there is a bigger agenda which aims to disarm us. leaders of the agenda own the media and therefore make them pump the issue.
2. a less diabolical reason. media teams aim to FOLLOW popular interest. the success of media is driven by the momentum of our interests. what's trending? what will get viewers? they spend tons of cash researching ideal topics and presentations to get viewers, sell advertising, and stuff cash in their wallets.

What's interesting is that out of this list of 12, 5 have occurred during the 1st term of the Obama administration. 41%

Out of the 12, 8 have occurred since 1999. or 66.666%. 6 of those 8 while a Democrat occupied the White House. 75%

Coincidence? who knows.... Economic stress since Obama took office? On the conspiracy side: Demo sponsored mind melt for gun control? who knows..........

Oh yeah, it's perceptual. You could just assume they don't report on any shootings at all, and nobody would know about any of them, save for victims families etc.

If it's Mental Illness, then there ARE stressors that have to set them off, no doubt about it.

That means economic status, money/job problems, etc. And now, these events aren't so few and far between, they're much more frequent.

I can't see irrational violence inspiring others to commit irrational violence.. something always acts as an M.O,.

I will never advocate out right violence, but my feeling is, if these people are snapping because the weight of the world is on their last nerve, they're targeting the wrong people.

Also, whatever happened to "no women, no children"? Oh well, try and preach ethics In murder to people! But seriously though, school shootings and highway overpass sniping, will only rouse the Government to a point, especially if it becomes, dare I say the "norm".

I believe the ante will be upped, when people actually take to the streets, and bureaucratic buildings etc.

Then a gun grab might be attempted.

Lets hope the MSM doesn't start showing every single shooting that happens. Otherwise that would have to be a channel all to itself. Enough shooting happen daily all across the U.S. to keep them busy daily believe me.

However I did see the CBS had a story on how the gun control that Obama wants to put in place will not help anyone. The reason being that there are so many stolen guns on the streets. And like they also said any bad guy that wants a gun can buy one on the streets with as little as $50. Obamas gun control won't stop the killings on the streets.
