Very close to South NJ.

Hey sorry guy's actually we have made a decision to stop trucks until the storm is over. We don't want to put drivers at risk.

A third-party freight broker urges shippers in the Northeast to call with plans to close operations or reschedule freight deliveries during Hurricane Sandy.

Tucker Company Worldwide, Cherry Hill, N.J., said Monday it is working with shippers to reschedule shipments across the country as the massive storm slams the East.

“Many customers in the Middle Atlantic and New England states have closed Monday and Tuesday,” a spokesperson for the company said in a statement Monday.

The hurricane is expected to knock out power in many areas, possibly for days, which could make freight delivery and truck fueling difficult after the storm.

Some areas may only be open to emergency relief shipments for several days after the storm. Aid is already moving toward the region.

Flooding and road closures may delay trucking throughout the Northeast, especially traffic moving through states such as Pennsylvania.

If I had a boss that told me to drive his truck into a hurricane..... I disable the gps, drive it into a friends garage and throw the gps unit into the ocean. Tell him, sorry...... I barley got out alive! :) lol

Yeah we wouldn't put our drivers at risk. A few days is not going to hurt anyone even though technically we are losing money as our trucks are stopped. But we value the life of not just our drivers but every living person. But a lot of companies keep there trucks rolling and surprisingly it is the multi-billion dollar companies they don't give a ***** about drivers. They underpay drivers, A lot of time they don't even pay them at all. They have them driver for 3 weeks and come up with an excuse not to pay them and keep recycling drivers like there nothing. Anyway I am off topic now lol..

There's just a few hours from touch down, but they're claiming as high as 50-60 mph winds... here.....in Chicago!

Does that make sense?

Hey Fiat you are right about them over exaggerating, but in a way it is kind of a good thing because this way maybe people won't take it so lightly. People need to be aware of the danger of hurricanes, who knows what can happen. Maybe they are just putting the info out for the WORST case possible....
