Nuclear (radiation) Leak in Ohio goes unreported for days! Workers evacuated after radiation levels spiked during re-fuelling and maintenance-Special Investigation into First Energy Corp's power plant-Apr.27

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has started a Special Inspection to review the circumstances around work activities that led to higher than expected radiation levels in a work area at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant. The plant is operated by Akron-based First Energy's subsidiary FENOC Nuclear Operating Co. and is located in Perry. The issue involved the removal of a source range monitor from the reactor core on April 22, as the plant was shut down for a refueling outage.

I don't like doom, not down at the heart level, but there is a sexy attraction to it that I must admit. I need help.

"Hello, my name is CinnaNym, and I'm a Doomaholic and love me some doomgasms!"

I know, I'm sick. But, it's all this doom that keeps me going.

I have a strange feeling that we do not get much info from any of the nuclear plants here in the US when there is a problem. Like so many other things. I believe they keep all of the news for a few days to weeks before saying anything.

I agree. They wait for awhile to see if they can either cover it up or mitigate its impact. Or, they wait to see if anyone knows about it yet.

Great find, dude.
I use to live in Cleveland -
I left because of the 130 or so inches of snow every year. And the 5 month winters that started in late October and went right through till the end of March.
Now this.
So glad I'm out-a-there.

Good news story!
